Show Mrs. Ellen Bracken Phone 62062 To Fill Mission For LDS Church Kent Brighton, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Brighton, will enter the LDS Mission Home in Salt Lake City, Aug. 18, and will labor in the Texas-Louisiana mission. , Mrs. Eller, home demonstrator demonstra-tor for Uintah County, met with a group of ladies from Ballard last Tuesday. Twelve pressure cookers were tested at the homes of Mrs. Wendel Johnson and Mrs. Golden Collins. Gary Gardner took a group of UBIC contestants to Salt Lake City, Tuesday. His mother, Mrs. Earl Gardner, also accompanied accom-panied the group. Mr. and Mrs. Max Tod are the very proud parents of a baby boy, born at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital on Tuesday, July 27. The doting grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Rex Gardner, of Maeser, and Mr. and Mrs. Rus-sel Rus-sel Todd. ARRIVE IN SWEDEN Mr. and Mrs. Xavier BeD.on received word that Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lagerstedt had arrived ar-rived safely in Sweden. They spent some time sight seeing in London, and plan on staying in Sweden until September. Mrs. Lagerstedt was the former Carol Bellon and she and her husband have been living in Corvallis, Oregon, where Carol taught school one year while her husband was finishing up his school work. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd went to Vernal on Sunday, July 22. While there' they were callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Larsen made a trip to Salt Lake City last Sunday, combining pleasure and business. Celia Kay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jenkins, accompanied accom-panied Mr. and Mrs. Garn Bodily Bod-ily to Salt Lake City last week, to visit for a while. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allred and family have moved from the Raymond Elmer home, where they have lived for some time, back to' their own home near the Ballard church. Gordan Evans and Seth Asay have been called to be assistants to Calvin Squire in the M.I.A. supertendency. ' We are all pleased to have Mrs. Squire Mangum able to be out with us again, after her operation. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Collins and daughter, of Salt Lake City, have been spending their vacation vaca-tion at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts and Bishop and Mrs. Golden Collins, and relatives in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Stolla, of Brigham City, are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl recently. Word has been received that Darrell McMullin is stationed at Ft Ord, Calif, for his basic training. His wife is staying with her parents in Neola. Seth Asay, of Ballard, and Ervil Asay, of Roosevelt, motored mo-tored to Southern Utah, to attend at-tend the Seth Johnson; family reunion. Jay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Squire Mangum, is enjoying a vacation with relatives in New Mexico and Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Parrish and family enjoyed a Wooley family reunion at the head of Daniel's Canyon on Sunday, July 22. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Robbins visited with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler one day last week before be-fore they left for Atlanta, Ga., where Mr. Robbins will be stationed. sta-tioned. Mrs. Robbins is a sister of Mrs. Shisler. Dr. and Mi's. Guy Lewis and family, of Salt Lake City, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Angus recently. Dr. Lewis is a brother of Mrs. Angus. Mrs. Pearl Garcia returned home on Sunday after spending the past week with relatives in Ogden and Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Roberts and family, from Brigham City, spent several days at the home of Mrs. Roberts' sister, Mrs. John Page. Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Wimmer, of Magna, have been recent visitors vis-itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Xavier Bellon. Mr. and Mrs. Eric A. Stolla visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Molyneaux and family at Pinedale, Wyoming, also at Brigham City, Salt Lake City and Riverton with members mem-bers of their family. They were accompanied home by their daughter, Clara, who has spent the summer away, also two grandsons, Jerry and Allen Molyneaux. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Asay and family, of Salt Lake City, have been visiting at the Zane and Seth Asay homes this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler had their baby blessed at Fast meeting meet-ing on Sunday, and given the i name of Karen. Mont S. Poul-son, Poul-son, grandfather, blessed it. Mrs. Wendel Johnson and small son spent the weekend in Salt Lake City, visiting with Mr. Johnson's mother, Mrs. Pearce. |
