Show Lynn Ross Gives Calf To UBIC As Fund Raiser Someone is going to win a white faced calf during the UBIC that was donated by Lynn Ross, of Arcadia, and will be given away Friday night during the dance at the tennis court. A year ago Mr., Ross won a Necchi Sewing machine and immediately im-mediately upon being notified of his luck, came back with the offer of giving a calf to the UBIC for 1954 as an aid in financing the convention. The following comment appeared ap-peared in the "Editorial Viewpoint" View-point" column on August 13, 1953 concerning the proposition of Mr. Ross. "Lynn Ross, Arcadia, who won the Necchi Sewing machine at the UBIC has offered a calf to the 1954 committee and issues is-sues a challenge to other winners win-ners to make a contribution of some product, or cash that has one-half the retail value of the prize they won. . . Might be an idea to help finance the coming com-ing UBIC's.". It was a challenge in 1953 and is still a challenge issued by Mr. Ross, who suggests the winner of the calf contribute half its value in some form or another |
