Show Our Boys In The Service GARTH D. GARDNER FORT LEWIS, WASH. Cpl. Garth D. Gardner, of Roosevelt, has been cited for meritorious service with the 44th Infantry Division during Exercise Hill Top, by Colonel Wesley W. Yale, deputy director of Exercise Exer-cise Hill Top. During Exercise Hill Top, large scale joint Army-Air Force maneuver held at the Yakima Firing Center, Yakima, Washington Wash-ington from May 1 to 30, Cpl. Gardner was a chief with the fire direction center. Cpl. Gardner is a member of Battery C, 223rd Field Ai-tillery Ai-tillery Battalion with the 44th Infantry Division stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex L. Gardner who live at Vernal His wife, Mary Ellen Gardner resides at 905 Wheeler Street, Parkland, Wash. RONALD DYE It was announced today by Lt. Col. Linn E. Wilde, Jr., AFROTC Summer Camp Commander Com-mander at McClellan Air Force Base, Calif., that Cadet Ronald Dye, graduate of the Brigham Young University, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Dye, RFD No. 2, Roosevelt, successfully completed the four weeks summer sum-mer encampment. While on duty at the Summer Camp, Cadet Dye held the rank of Cadet Major. Ma-jor. Classes, inspections, tours and field trips have provided the cadets with the Air Force application ap-plication of their academic training in the areas of electronics, electron-ics, supply, maintenance, meter-ology meter-ology and management. Awards and recognition received: re-ceived: Qualified as "Expert" on M-l carbine; qualified as "Marksman" on .45 cal. pistol; j co-editor of the camp yearbook; selected to fly to Eglin AFB, I Florida to witness the Air Force fire power demonstration. demonstra-tion.
