" Just-A-Mere Club (Sserves Silver j jbinivesary Date An interesting event took place in Roosevelt on July 22, ,-hen Mrs. Tina Wilkins played' hostess to all former and present pres-ent members of the Just-A-Mere Club, with twenty-five guests in attendance. The occasion was in observance obser-vance of the club's twenty-fifth birthday. During the twenty-five twenty-five years the club has been in distance there have been thirty-one members, four of whom J- have been members for the twenty-five years, including ' tt Lola Richens, Reva Owen, Lora Killian and Mrs. Wilkins. Center of attraction was the three-tiered birthday cake dec-I dec-I orated with real red roses and tmnoH with a silver inscription of 1929-1954. Each guest re-I re-I ceived a silver demitasse spoon I tied with a red ribbon signifying signify-ing when each joined and resigned re-signed from the club. At each cover laid was a miniature swan filled with candy on a doily printed with silver. The tallies were imprinted with the hostess' hos-tess' picture and tied with a small red ribbon.
