Show Aug. 20 Deadline Set For G.l.'s To Start Training Post-Korea veterans released from military service before j Aug. 20, 1952, have until Aug. I 20, 1954, to take advantage of, I enrollment under the Korean G.I. Bill training. The veterans, if they want to benefit from the G. I. schooling, school-ing, are those who were discharged dis-charged or separated from service ser-vice before Aug. 20, 1952. This applies to those who have not yet taken advantage of the G. I. training. The problem facing school-going school-going veterans is that few summer sum-mer schools will be in session on Aug. 20 deadline date, they explained. Once a veteran has decided to train under the Korean G.I. Bill, he must choose the school J and course he wants. He must then make certain that the course is G. I.-approved. To be eligible for training under the Korean G. I. Bill, a veteran must meet all three of these requirements: 1. He must have been separated sep-arated from active service under un-der conditions other than dishonorable. dis-honorable. 2. He must have been on active ac-tive duty in the armed forces any place in the world not necessarily in Korea after June 27, 1950. 3. He must have had at least 90 days of active service in the armed forces unless he was discharged dis-charged sooner because of an actual service - connected disability. |
