Worthen of the Utah Supreme Court today announced an-nounced he will be a candidate to succeed himself for a 10-year term qn the non-partisan judicial ballot in November. A prominent Provo attorney for many years and former district judge, incumbent Justice Worthen was appointed by Gov. J. Bracken Lee in April of this year to succeed suc-ceed Chief Justice James H. Wolfe, who resigned. Justice Worthen was born at St. Gteorge of pioneer parents. He taught school prior to entering the legal profession. He received his A.B. degree at Brigham Young University and his doctor of jurisprudence degree from University of California. tie is a member of the Utah County Bar Association, the Utah state Bar and the American Bar Association. Justice Worthen served in the araaed forces In World War I and baa been active in the American Legion of which he is a past Utah Iepartmnt commander.
