Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Primary Program Given Sunday The Primary held their August Aug-ust program Sunday night, under un-der the direction of Presidents Elsie Bird, Gladys Capson and Barbara Gilbert. Theme was the "Twenty-fifth Anniversary of Homebuilding." Mrs. Elsie Bird and Mrs. Gladys Ross received a 25-year award; Mrs. Gladys Capson one for 5 years, and special service awards were given giv-en to' Mrs. Norma Hansen for the present Homebuilder leader giving the longest serviie. Mrs. Barbara Gilbert, who had given the longest service as a Home-builder Home-builder leader, Mrs. Barbara Gilbert who had given the longest long-est service as a Homebuilder leader. The Mia Maids and Bee Hive girls went on a Hobo hike July 20. Lunch was cooked in tin foil on a camp fire. Those enjoying en-joying the hike were: Eleanor Capson, Marsha Lusty, Sherrie Gilbert, Carol Larsen, Nona Lee Holgate and Linda Larsen. Mrs. Agnes Hixson, of Salt Lake City, is visiting at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty. Mrs. Merle Ross is confined to her home after a spell with her heart. She is feeling better at the present. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen and son, Kent, are vacationing in Wyoming and Idaho. Mrs. Clair Duncan and family of Neola, visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird. Marion Ross is able to be out and around after his sick spell. Max Mullins came in from Salt Lake City to get his wife and family. They will make their horne in Rose Park. George Evans, of Upalco, attended at-tended Fast meeting and blessed his grandson, Ronald E. Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arden Evans. Ev-ans. Pres. and Mrs. Hale Holgate, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ross, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel, Mrs. Lois Terpening attended the farewell party at Duchesne Saturday night for Pres. and Mrs. Dean C. Christensen. Bishop and Mrs. Darrell Ross of Green River called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross on Saturday. |
