Show State Birsslcr Of F.ILA. hlakes Uisit To Basin Area Clarence A. Anderson, state director of the Farmers Home Administration for Utah, and D. Ivo Eames,, Production Loan officer, visited the local office of the agency this week. Accompanied by County Supervisor Su-pervisor Anthan B. Christensen, in charge of the program in Duchesne Du-chesne County, Mr. Anderson and Mr. Eames also met several of the farm families in this area who are using the credit and supervisory services offered by the federal agency. Mr. Anderson said the Farmers Farm-ers Home Administration helps young farm families who want to start farming on their own, but who cannot because of increased in-creased costs and lack of credit. The agency also makes loans to help farmers make efficient use of their land, develop balanced systems of farming, and use sound farm management methods. meth-ods. The agency does not compete with banks, production credit associations, or any other local credit source. No loan is made to a farm family able to obtain adequate financing elsewhere. As soon as families get established estab-lished with sound credit, they are urged to refinance through local lending sources.
