REXBURG, IDA. -Two Bountiful Boun-tiful athletes are members of the 1984 Ricks College Viking Football team. THEY ARE Kurt Matthews. 6-foot 6-foot 3 wide receiver, who is a sophomore soph-omore in general education. He is the son of Darrell and Karen Matthews. Also a sophomore majoring ma-joring in business is 6-foot I 180-pound 180-pound Dan Hadfield. son of John and Beverly Hadfield Dan is also a wide receiver. Since 1980 the Vikings under two former Salt Lake area high school coaches Ken Schmidt and Ron Haun, have a 4-0 record and 'h are ranked nationally. The college i grid team has won the Intermoun- ' tain Collegiate Athletic Confer- f ence championship twice and ? shared the title twice in the past ;js four years. i MATTHEWS is a 1983 graduate of Viewmont High where he com- :tj peted in football, basketball, track Ji and baseball. In football he was in named to the first All-State team. ' Hadfield a 1981 graduate of high school has served an LDS Church ;; mission to Oakland, Calif. |
