Show Davis County ROTC Cadets Complete Advanced Training Ten Davis County ROTC students successfully success-fully completed a rigorous summer advanced leadership camp at Fort Lewis. Wash. THE CADETS are in the third year of the ROTC program at Weber State College. They were placed in various leadership roles and evaluated on their performance at the camp. Mark L. Balboni, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Balboni of Layton, received the maximum score possible on the Army physical fitness test and earned the camp RECONDO badge, which is earned by passing all graded events with an above average score and by displaying exceptional excep-tional physical courage. He is currently serving with the 83rd Field Artillery Unit in the U.S. Army Reserve. JAMES E. Bennett, the son of Mrs. Norma E. Scott of Clearfield, received the Camp RECONDO RE-CONDO badge. He is currently serving with the 19th Special Forces in the Utah National Guard. John Scott Bly, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Bly of Clearfield, was designated the top cadet in his battalion of approximately 250 cadets because of his exceptional overall camp performance. He received the camp RECONDO RE-CONDO badge and is currently serving with the 1 9th Special Forces in the Utah National Guard. EFREN D. Bravo, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bravo of Layton, was ranked in the top third of his platoon based on his overall performance per-formance at camp. He achieved a maximum score on the Army Physical Fitness test and received the camp RECONDO badge. He is currently' serving with the 536th Signal Com pany in the U.S. Army Reserve. Daniel C. Glad, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Glad of Layton. was ranked in the top third of his platoon as a result of his overall ! leadership performance. He also received the ! camp RECONDO badge. l MICHAEL D. Goodall, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Goodall of Farmington, successful- : '. ly completed the camp. He is currently serving with the 83rd Field Artillery unit in the U.S. , Army Reserve. Steven G. Howard, the son of Mr. and Mrs. " Glen W. Howard of Farmington, was ranked in 'il the top third of his platoon. He also received the camp RECONDO badge. He is currently serving with the 328th General Hospital in the U.S. Army Reserve. EDDIE C. Jacobsen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Jacobsen of Layton, successfully completed com-pleted the camp and will be serving as a cadet officer in the WSC ROTC program. I Wayne Nichols, the son of Mr. and Mrs. ' Murray Nichols of Kaysville, was ranked in the top ten percent of his platoon based on overall performance at camp. He also received the camp RECONDO badge. , ROBERT E. Reeder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Reeder of Bountiful, received the camp RECONDO badge. Cadet Reeder is a scholarship student at Weber State and attended an advanced officer training camp at Fort Ord. Calif. These students will enter their last year of ROTC training this fall and upon graduation r from college will be- commissioned 'second'"" lieutenants in the U.S. Army. i |
