Show DAK Meets, Studies Issues The Sego I.ily Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Re-volution met Oct. 15 at the home of Museum Chairman, Klizabeth H. Hibler. KKCKNT Anita H. Davis assisted by Chaplain Clara N. Prcece opened the meeting with the reading of the opening ritual and welcomed the members present. pre-sent. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Regent Davis and the American's Amer-ican's Creed was led by Erna Mae Hatcher. The propositions and amendments amend-ments which arc to be voted upon in the November election were read by Treasurer Katheryn R. Hess and discussed as to pros and cons. The members were encouraged encour-aged to return to their homes and discuss these with family members so they would be prepared to vote intelligently when they go to the polls on election day. THK NATIONAL Defense Message Mes-sage was read by Secretary Mary J. Softcland. She then read the minutes mi-nutes of the last meeting held in September. The program was presented by Regent Davis who read a report entitled "Halloween Without Witches," which told of the demise of an Illinois industry: The Markle Broom Factory at Paris. III. THE MEETING was adjourned until Nov. 19 when the chapter will tour the T P Indian Gallery in Salt Lake City. |
