I j ON WEDNESDAY, Oct. 17, our I 1 Viking cross country team traveled j to Sugarhouse Park to participate j in the Region IV tournament. They . brought back a first place award for i She girls and the junior varsity team ; -Jand a second place award for the j '-varsity team. These Vikings have been I -working very hard under the direc- ! t'ion of Mrs. Goforth and we wish i ihem good luck and hope each of ! you will support them and help their year to be successful. OL'R NEXT volleyball games will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 4 against Woods Cross, on our court, and Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 4 against East at Viewmont. This is an outstanding team with a great record and we encourage everyone to participate in supporting them. Tomorrow, Oct. 25 at 7:30 our choral dept., directed by Miss McGuire, will perform its annual Fall Choral Concert. This concert is free of charge and will be held in our auditorium. This is an event nobody will want to miss and we hope everybody will be there to see how very well their long hours of practice will pay off. Good luck choirs. AT 4 on Thursday, our sophomore sopho-more and jr. varsity football teams take on the Bountiful Braves. Sophomores will play at Viewmont and jr. varsity will travel to Bountiful. Bounti-ful. Let's give these guys some support for their last game of the season. We would like to thank these teams and coaches for all of their efforts during the year and their long, hard practices. We feel they have represented us well and we appreciate their hard work. Good luck on Thursday. Friday brings us our first in- school pep rally and we are excited. ex-cited. We know the cheerleaders have a lot of great things planned and hope each of you are ready to participate. We need to pull together and get behind our dedicated dedi-cated football team to help them gain a victory over Bountiful on Friday at 7:30. Good luck football team. ON WEDNESDAY, Oct. 24, at 6:30, Viewmont's science club will host their annual egg drop contest. Everyone is invited. For more information in-formation contact Buzz Burbige or Mr. Bender. Saturday, Oct. 27 is the date for the Oct. ACT test. The test begins at 8 a.m. and goes until 12 noon. Good luck to any students involved in taking this test. Don't forget your admittance paper and your" identification. ! NEXT MONDAY begins Devil and Daniel Webster by the drama dept. at 7:30 in the Little Theatre. This will run both Monday and Tuesday night same time, same place. Let's get involved in wht the drama department is doing. See you there! By the way, Wednesday, Oct. 3 1 is Halloween. Be careful trick-or-treating or the Great Pumpkin will get you! |
