Show Proceedings Of The City Council At the regular meeting of the ' City Council held last Saturday evening eve-ning at the City Hall, the residents along 5th West Street made a protest pro-test against the plan proposed with regard to the construction of the State Road along the street. The desire of these citizens was to have the soil and material used in . the construction of the highway hauled there from some other source rather than having it excavated from the sides of the street, which would invariably in-variably make a hole - or place for water and drainage to stand during the wet seasons. The council expresses itself as being be-ing enthusiastic, in a general cleanup of the city and a special committee to enlist the support of the citizens in the move to do the work was selected. se-lected. They are: Mayor James W. Anderson, A. Merz, H. LeRoy Nielson and Daniel Rasmussen of ;r the council. Claims to the amount of $381.35 ; was awarded to meet the necessary expenses incurred by the city. The Recorder was directed to ad- vertise for bids for doing the sprinkl-! sprinkl-! ing for the coming season. He was ; also authorized .to refund twenty : dollars to Mr. Coats on account of cancelling the license which had been paid by Mr. Coats for another month'. |
