Show As projected, rate of new construction drops Building Permit Comparison 30 I I 20 10 0 1 ' ' 1 ' ' Through July Through July 1984 1985 As predicted, building in Park City has fallen behind the pace established establish-ed a year ago. According to figures compiled by the municipality's Building Department, Depart-ment, $2,348,416 in building valuations valua-tions was recorded for the month of July this year. The July building figures bring to $24.4 million the amount of building recorded by the city this year. Last year to date, $30.6 million in building valuations were noted. During its annual budget session, city officials predicted that building in Park City would be down. The Park City Council established its capital improvements budget on the basis that $32 million in building would bring $640,000 in impact fees. ; Chief Building Official Ron Ivie said he believes those projections are on track. The municipality, he said, should record the $32 million mark by the end of construction season. Recorded building in Park City to the first of July this year was ahead of 1984. Through June this year, the city had recorded $22.1 million in new construction valuation. Last year the figure at the end of June was $21 million. Ivie explained that most of this year's valuation to the end of June came from hotel construction locally. By July, however, hotel projects had received required permits and did not contribute to the monthly figures. Almost all of the valuation figures recorded in July this year were from Deer Valley's Pinnacle project, Ivie said. The Pinnacle has been issued building permits for four single-family housing units and two permits for , triplexes. |
