Show 1 () p? I if 1 iwidt.. I A craftsman will demonstrate the making of embossed silver jewelry Aug. 11 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Kimball. Native American artisan to open show at Kimball A quartet of artfsts from Second Mesa, Arizona will open a show of their work and demonstrate demon-strate their crafts at the Kimball ArtCenterAug.il. The exhibit will run through Aug. 28. A weaver, a kachina doll maker, a potter and a jeweler, all members of the educational group, the Artis Hopid, will use their skills to communicate the values of the Hopi to members of the non-Hopi public. Delbridge Honanie, Milland Lomakema, Michael Kabotie and Neil David have lived on the Hopi mesas most of their lives. Their intent is that the pride, value and identity of their people be reflected in their work. Acrylic painter and film graphic artist Jim Deesing also will open a show in the Lower Gallery Aug. 11. His subjects range from tropical birds to classic portraits. A free reception will be held for the artists from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday) Aug. 11 at the Kimball. The public is invited.
