Show Flirt with the stars Park City will be basking in film festival floodlights this week and between premieres it is likely the stars will be glittering both in the heavens and in many local night spots. While rubbernecking for the celebrities you can also tap your feet to some live music. Down Under The crowd favorite at the Down Under club (located below the Claimjumper Restaurant) is folk singer Kat James, who plays Wednesday through Saturday evening. Cowboy Bar The Bel Aires will bring their rock-and-roll sound to the Cowboy Bar Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The five-piece band is complemented with a female lead . vocalist. The first set each night will start at 9:30 p.m. On Sunday and Monday evening Brooke Langton of Cow Jazz and Rob Quist of the band Montana will perform as a vocal duo. To round out the week, the band Destiny will play todays top-40 hits Tuesday and Wednesday. Grub Steak Bob Snow returns to the Grub Steak this Friday and Saturday with a repertoire of easy-listening contemporary con-temporary tunes. Rusty Nail You can shake yours to the sound of Bone, a blues band which will be playing at the Rusty Nail at the Park City Ski Area Friday and Saturday. The band starts cranking at 8:30 p.m. and isn't expected to slow down until 1:30 a.m. Ryan's Talent scouts would do well to check in at Ryan's every Thursday night when locals gather for their weekly jam session. The music starts at 9 p.m. Sneakers Classical guitarist Kelly Wright plays at Sneakers at the Park Meadows Racquet Club Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Stein Eriksen Lodge After a tough day on the slopes you can unwind to the contemporary sound of pianist Kate McCutchan at Stein Eriksen Lodge from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Sunday. Pianist Harry Black takes over the late shift from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. |
