David Hampshire assisted in editing written material. Steve Deckert contacted each property owner to explain the project and secure permission to mount plaques. Eteve and Jacquie Jackson Coty helped generate donations to defray costs of the project. The brunt of the work fell in the hands of Paul de Groot. Paul installed all 52 plaques. Each installation presented a unique situation or problem such as drilling into brick and metal, hauling a y generator to the site, or digging with ri backhoe or shovel to mount a stand in the ground. For the Historic Plaque Committee of the Park City Centennial Commission, 1984 was a long and busy year. Each week of the Centennial year a historic building or site was commemorated with a plaque which traced its history from inception to the present. It was an ambitious but satisfying effort, and the plaques will serve as informative reminders of our past for tourists and local residents for years to come. 1 The quiet but persistent efforts of the plaque project team deserve special recognition.
