Show He had the athletes' respect Editor s note; , ';(. Reprinted below is a letter written to Park Record publisher Jan Wilking. Jan: With regard to the recent dismissal of Randy Hanskat from the Park Record staff I would like to express my aggravation and regret. Speaking for many students and teachers at Park City High School I know he will be missed not only as a journalist, but also as a friend. Randy had a special quality about his sports columns that immediately gained the athletes' respect. Randy was not just a writer for the Park Record, but also a supporter to the athletes, and was close to all the coaches. Because of his relations with those about whom, he , wrote, ...Bandy was able to give his articles a more personal touch. Randy should also be recognized for his excellent photography. His photos always caught the action of the games and even a few humorous shots of the athletes were slipped in. It is a shame that we take so much for granted, until it is gone; in this case, it will be Randy. Sincerely, Erin A. Bolton |
