Reverend Dave Krueger officiated at the ceremony, which was held at the Wasatch Mountain State Park Visitors Center. Kimberly is the daughter of Hugh O. Davis and the late Helen M. Davis. Mr. Davis and the bride's sisters, Linda Borio of Sommers, Connecticut and Pam Mango of Louisville, Kentucky, were on hand to wish the couple well. Jim Miller's parents, Ruth Ann and Bill Stafford of West Lafayette, Indiana, and his Aunt Bunny Aubrey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, also made a special trip to Utah for the occasion. Jim's brother Tom of Madison, Wisconsin, completed the family reunion and acted as best man. ' After the ceremony, friends from Park City and Heber joined the bride and groom for a reception, which was highlighted by a lively square dance and music by the Buckle Busters. Jim Miller is a co-founder of the White Pine Touring Center and an instructor for Outward Bound. Kimberly is also an Outward Bound instructor and teaches cross-country skiing at White Pine. Pratt-Park Valarie Pratt, a former Park City resident, was married Feb. 16 to Patrick Roy Park at the Kimball Art Center. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Gwen Latterner, and Wayne E. Pratt, Sagle, Idaho. She attended grade school here and graduated from Park City High School in 1975. Her activities there included three years as cheerleader. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Park, Murray. He is a recreational therapist at the LDS Hospital department of psychiatry. According to Gwen Latterner, the pair have known each other about three years, since they work in the same field of child psychology. "They met going with some teenagers on a trip down the Green River," she said. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Latterner was the setting for a rehearsal dinner. Judge James Kilby conducted the wedding ceremony, the first of its kind in the Art Center, said Gwen. A reception was given afterwards. The bride and groom share a love of the outdoors and plan a backpacking trip as a honeymoon, said Gwen. |
