Show STROKE OF APOPLEXY KILLS J. T. BERNARD Death Comes to Young Man After Two Months of Married Life. Salt Lake, Aug. 20. Entering the Cocper grocery store, at 1 1 West Third South street, apparently in good health, yesterday morning, T. T, Ber nard, HOC West South Temple street, was suddenly ."lr?d with an attack of apoplexy, and died before medical aid arrived. Mr. Bernard entered the stoic short ly before noon and after making a small purchase, had begun to "josh " with A. O. Cooper, the proprietor of the store, as had been the custom whenever the two wre together. After Af-ter chatting for several moments, Mr. Bernard starter! for the door, when ho suddenly turned pale and, grasping a show caee. gasped for water. Mr. Cooper rushed to his aid, but he fell I forward before he could reach him. . Mr, Cooper with the aid of W. A Jones, carried him into the Lack room of the billdlug and Immediately sum moned medical aid. Dr. P. P. Musser responded to the call, and arrived within four or five minutes after the attack-, but death had apparently been instantaneous. The deoth Is particularly sad bo-cause bo-cause of the fact that death came ofter only two months of married life. Ho was married on the 20th of last June to Miss Mae Walker, who survives sur-vives him. Mr. Bernard wns 30 years of age, pnd had been a resident of Salt Lake for the past two years, coming here from Gloucester. Mass. On October 1. l&0f he entered Into partnership with W. A. .Tons. with whom he had been aasoclated In the Grocery busl ness since that time. The body was removed to O'Don-nell'B O'Don-nell'B undertaking parlors, where It will be held pending the completion of the funeral arrangements. |
