The Japanese deiendants are charged with gelling liquor to Frank Brown, a minor, the testimony of tho jcung man supporting the allegation., lie stated on the witness stand that co August 13th ho went to the White Ship 6iloon uud purchased of E. That he drank the beer and whiskey aud became beastly drunk; so drunk ibat be did ' not remember when the officers brought him to the police station. Nabashima was discharged, the evidence of the prosecution not connecting him in any way with the alleged offense. George Young, a plumber, testified that he wai in tho saloon when young Rrov.n asked for beer and that tho bartender, Hlna, refused to sell It to him. He also stated that tho boy entered the place from the rear of the saloon and was in such a fctate of Intoxication that be fell at the bar and had to he helped to his feet. Young al.-.o stated that Rrown was abusive to the Jap when he refused re-fused to sell him liquor. The case was continued uutll Monday. |
