Show . . 1 READY TO LEAVE FOR TRIAL IN ENCLAND Quebec. Aug 20. Dr Hawley Harvey Har-vey Crlppen and Miss Ethel Clare Leneve were taken from the provincial provin-cial jail early today in separate carriages car-riages and driven rapidly weitwarJ The couple, in charge of Detective Inspector Dow, Sergeant Detective Mitchell and two wardresses, it Is stated, will sail on the steamer Ma-gantlc, Ma-gantlc, which departs at 7 o'clock tonight to-night for Liverpool. The detectives with Pr. Crlppen and Mls Leneve probably will meet tho Megantlc with a tug at Cape Rouge, Koven miles west of Quebec, on the St. Lawrence river. The detective In removing the prisoners from the Jail shrouded every move as It was desired to avoid a demonstration. The Megantlc is due at Liverpool a week from today. |
