Show STATE MEDICAL BOARD IS GOING AFTER "QUACKS." Salt like, Aug. 20. The discharge of ' Dr." J Maxwell by Police Judge Whitnkcr on Wednesday, as hereto-foie hereto-foie announced, was not to the liking c f the members of the state board of medical examiners, as It was thought that the prosecution had a good cas-i cf practicing medicine without a license li-cense against Maxwtil, who was charged with supplying a prescription for cocaine to J 11. Duncan. Dr. I, C. Smullyan, a member of the board, stated Thursday that he cWd not intend to let the matter rest, as the board has another case against Maxwell, and Ihe county attorney had Ihe matter of issuing another complaint com-plaint against Maxwell under consideration consid-eration and in fact had agreed to ie-mio ie-mio one. Dr. Smullyan declares that the state board will wage an active campaign against all who are attempting to practice medicine without a license ,vij it is the intention to take criminal crim-inal action against several no called "quacke" in the near future. |
