As a matter ot ; fact, the proprietors of the place have no idea as to who the guilty party is, and they aro not certain as to the exact ex-act time that the articles were stolen. It Is thought by one of the clerks, thoigh, that the thief is a woman, and that the lifted the plumes immediately imme-diately after the opening of the store in the morning. The clerk says that while he was straightening things out in the morning for the business of the day, he noticed a woman standing in the doorway, but he thinks she did not come far into the store.
