Some three weeks ago the cow became sick and in spite of tho application of the usual remedies known to Mr. Lund tho animal gradually grew wor&e and died. Curious to know the reason therefor, there-for, he held a post mortem and found the cow's lungs and some other organs or-gans In bad condition, the heart being twice as largo as it should be. His curiosity was unsatisfied and he was about giving the post mortem Job up as a failure, when his son discovered something bright sticking out of tho swollen heart and picking it out discovered dis-covered it to bo half of a lady's halr-: halr-: pin. In some way the pin had passed through the usual blood channels till It reached the heart, and tho condition condi-tion of the lungs showed that It had passed through them and caused damage dam-age enough to kill several ordinary cows. |
