Show HUNDRED LIVES SAVED Engineer Gently Pilots His Train Across Fast Settling Bridge . Los Angeles Cal., Feb. S. One hundred hun-dred lives hung In the balance for the fraction of a second last night, while Engineer W. Engineer Baldwin saw the danger, but unable to stop the train until ic was upon the bridge, he opened the throttle and let the engine run across gently.
