Show FORMER BANKER'S COUNSEL AGAIN APPLY FOR BAIL New York, Feb. 8. Application will be made in the United States circuit court of appeals this week to admit Charles W. Morse, the former banker, to ball, pending argument on his appeal ap-peal from the 15 years' sentence in the federal prison In Atlanto. for violating vio-lating the national banking laws. Morse Is in the Tombs and application for ball has heretofore been refused, but permission was given his counsel to make, further application when the appeal Is filed. The convicted banker's bank-er's counsel are greatly encouraged at the number of prominent men who have signed the petition asking that he be admitted to ball. Among the signers are many well-known merchants, merch-ants, railroad men. bankers, brokers and prominent men of affairs. It is said also that John W. McKinnoa. liquidating liq-uidating agent of tho National Bank of North America, of which Morse wan vice president during the panic, has signed tho petition and that stockholders stockhold-ers of the bank will make a special plea for Morse. , 1. |
