"Whereas; The -commercial intercuts inter-cuts of the state of Utah now, even more than heretofore, are believed to be imperatively In need of prompt, adequate and positive legislation in their protection and support, for the material benefit and welfare of all ot Its citizens, and "Whereas; There is now pending before the senate Bill No. 82 for the senate providing for the establishment of a public service commission, therefore, there-fore, be it "Resolved; That the board of governors gov-ernors of the Commercial club, believing be-lieving that the passage of a bill providing pro-viding for a public service commission commis-sion will be to the best interest of tne peoplo of this stato, hereby endorses the general provisions of said blli end urge the passage of such measure meas-ure by the present legislature. At the regular meeting of the board of governors of tho Commercial club Saturday afternoon, after-noon, positive action was taken aj;alust the present prohibition movement move-ment In a resolution protesting against the passage by the legislature of any state- wide prohibition law. The meeting was well attended and the action was taken, as the unanimous unani-mous sense of the meeting. , A resolution w-as also passed by the board urging the passage of a bill providing pro-viding for the establishment of a public pub-lic service commission.
