Jesus Lopez's Lo-pez's sin found him out because a mad dog bit him. Lopez killed a roan In January. 1903, and fled. He returned a short time ago, and lived quietly, unrecognized. un-recognized. Then a mad dog bit him. He was sent to Mexico City for the Pasteur treatment, and there he was recognized as the much-wanted murderer, mur-derer, arrested, and sent back to More-lla More-lla for trial. ' Lopez committed murder for thirty-seven thirty-seven cents. A man named Jesus Juarez owed him that amount and failed fail-ed to pav. They quarreled. Lopez slipped up on Juarez while the latter was bathing in a creek, overpowered Mm and hanged him to a tree. The noose caught under Juarez's chin and when Lopez returned three days later, hla unfortunate victim was still alive. Then Lopez finished the job by shooting shoot-ing Juarez forty times. . I |
