Show MRS. NELLIE S. MORGAN OVERTAKEN BY DEATH Salt Lake, Feb. .8 Mrs. Nellie S. Morgan, daughter of Lewis Strasberg, of Tooele, who had his right leg cut off Wednesday night In this city by a street car, died Sunday afternoon or heart trouble at the home of a sister at 9 Wlllard court Mrs. Morgan came to this city several sev-eral weeks ago to visit her sister, and was taken 111 here. The father had come to Salt Lake to visit his sick daughter, and while going to 9 Willard court was struck by a street car on the Poplar Grove line at Sixth South and West Temple street, having his right leg severed. Mrs. Morgan was not made acquainted with her father's serious accident for fear it would make her condition worse. Mrs. Morgan's body will be 6hlpped to the family home In Tooele Tuesday, where funeral services will be held. The remains will be removed from Hall's undertaking parlors, whore taken tak-en after death Sunday, to the sister's homo Monday, where they will lie In state. The father was told of his daughter's daugh-ter's death while he lay on a cot at the L. D. S. hospital, and although deeply grieved, ho took the sad news In as brave a manner as possible under the most unfortunate circumstances. The young woman was seriously 111 when her father came to visit her, and it was not thought she would live. Reports from the hospital late Sunday Sun-day night were to the effect that Mr. Strasberg was resting comfortably and regardless of his advanced age It was thought ho would recover. He will be confined to the hospital for a long time. |
