Show THREE UNLUCKY WIVES CALL UPON THE COURTS Salt' Lake, Feb. 7. Tbreo unlucky vivos petitioned the Third district court for their freedom Saturday. The burdens of tholr plaints are cruelty, cru-elty, non-support and desertion. Ernest Leetham has mistreated Emma Leetham ever since their mar-ilago mar-ilago at Eureka. September 18, 1903, Mrs. Leetham alleges. On July 21, 1S06, at Eureka, Leetham attacked her, she says, and beat her over tho face, breast, shoulders and hips. At various other times, up to and including includ-ing August 1, 1906, he slapped and beat her, it is further set out. For the last two years she has been com-1-eiled to depend upon the charity of friends for her support, although Lee-I Lee-I tham 13 ablo bodied and capable or earning $100 a month. Mrs. Leetham asks for a divorce, llu custody of the minor children, Ethel, almost 5 years old, and Beatrice, Bea-trice, 4, permanent alimony, sine mouey and the restraining of Leetham from collecting any of his wages pending pend-ing the final hearing. Maud McElvancy charges Guy Mc-F.lvaney Mc-F.lvaney with non-support. She, too, according to the complaint, has been compelled to subsist from the charity of friends and with the assistance or her parents. She wants a divorce, the custody of their child, Effie. 5 5 ears old, ?250 attorney fees and ?lUu for the support and education of her little girl. They were married hrc September 25, 1902. Thomas Connary deserted Camilla Y. Connary In May of 1907, after living liv-ing with her for five years, Mrs. Connary Con-nary alleges, and she wants a divorce, tho custody of the three boys. John, 6 years old, George, 4, and Howard, 2, and $15 a month alimony. Thoy wire married here June 4, 1902. |
