This was made apparent yesterday afternoon when 53 delegates were chosen at the county convention held in the county buildlnK and resolutions were passed endorsing Mr. Wattis. Not onh will the delegates carry their strength to Salt I,nke for Mr Wattis, hut a like number of alter-'nates alter-'nates will also attend the convention !nnd use their efforts to further the interests of Weber county WATTIS PRAISED. The resolution which was passed at the meetlnf held the Weber county candidates as "a candidate of wide- experience ex-perience in practical affairs, of strong personality, genial presence, firm character char-acter and who, by reason of hts sterling Americanism will draw the support from all elements of the citizenship of Ithe state and carry the Republican party to another glorious victory in November The resolution further pledged the Republicans of the county "to work untiringly by every political means lo bring about his nomination and we Intrust In-trust the delegates from this county to the Republican state convention to unitedly support his candidacy until he Is nominated or until duly released." releas-ed."
