Show I" I FALLS TO DEATH ;. ij IN MIS SEAPLANE ' f NORFOLK. Va., March 13. Falling f' with his seaplane from an elevation of ; ) jj 300 feet into the sea, Aviator M. L. j McNaughton, U. S. N. R was this ! f J morning drowned in Hampton Roads. J Another aviator occupying a seat in the seaplane with McNaughton, the 1 name of whom was withheld by the I government authorities, was uninjured. The piano was sailing over the roads when suddenly something went ' wrong with its mechanism and it ! i plunged headlong into the sea. Mc- , H Naughton's body was later recovered 1 S by government craft. The plan was , wrecked. Government officials this I nfternoon said further 'details of tho ' , accident were not for publication. This ' is the first fatality among the airmen ' I at this station. |
