Show GAPT. F. C. FITZGERALD TO GOMFER WITH LOCAL BOARDS The examination of drafted men in class one will be commenced immediately. imme-diately. Members of both city and county .draft boards have recelvcvd instructions in-structions from the adjutant general's office in Salt Lake to this effect, and, i as soon as the necessary clerical work can bo attended to and a schedule arranged ar-ranged with the examining physicians, the work will be started. It is expected expect-ed that all of the men in class one, in both county and city divisions, will bo examined and then hold in readiness for call. No information has been given on tho date when the call will be issued. is-sued. The city board conferred today with i Dr. Henry Nelson regarding a schedule to be adopted for oxamination of registrants reg-istrants and it is expected the county board will 'make similar plans as soon, as possible. The classification of men in tho city district in class one is not complete, so a statement as to the number could not be given. There are 146 men in class one In the county district. The same plan of examining the men will be followed, it is thought, as was In effect on the first draft. Certain quotas will be summoned each day. Thirty per day was the quota on the last draft, but the number will bo smaller this time as the urgency is not so great Captain F. C. Fitzgerald, secretary to Governor Bamberger, will come to Ogden Og-den today, at 3 o'clock it is expected, to confer with members of the draft boards regarding tho work and on other subjects. It is possible he will carry further instructions concerning the next move to be made, although such was not intimated: |
