Show GEN PERSHING IS TO GET MARRIED PARIS, Jan. 20. Excelsior today prints n. photograph of Miss Anita Pat-ton Pat-ton of San Marino, Cal.. and says it is reported that she is engaged to General Gen-eral John J. Pershing, commander of the American forces in France. The newspaper adds that Miss Patton "bo-longs "bo-longs to an old American family." Several months ago California newspapers published a rumor that Miss Patton would become the bride of General Pershing, who was described describ-ed a3 an old-time friend of the Patton Pat-ton family. Thero was no tangible basis for the rumor, it was stated, cx-crpt cx-crpt that General Pershing, while on visits to the homo of George S. .Patton, .Pat-ton, father of Miss Patton. showed the young woman marked attentions. Lieutenant Patton, a brother of Miss Pation, is a member of General Pershing's Per-shing's staff. |
