Ram, Hindu and a brother of Pasha Ram, recently held by tho federal fed-eral authorities at San Francisco un-' der ?10,000 bond in connection with the alleged conspiracy to start a revolution revo-lution in India, pleaded guilty In municipal courtt his morning to violating violat-ing the liquor laws. He was fined $50 or thirty days in jail. He will be able to pay the fine. G. Ram is a farmer residing near Tremonton. Ho was arrested Thursday Thurs-day night at tho Alta rooming house, 223M: Twenty-fifth street, by Officers Hearn, Manzcl and Dick. When tho officers raided his room, they found him and a white woman in an Intoxicated Intoxi-cated condition. Numerous pint bottles, bot-tles, all empties, except one, were discovered dis-covered lying .about the room. Tho bottles wore used as evidence against the Hindu this morning. It is believed that G. Ram was taken into custody primarily that the federal officers might investigate his effects. His brother, Pasha Ram, was arrested sovoral months ago at Tremonton and turned ovor to tho San Francisco authorities in connection with the conspiracy. con-spiracy. It is known that the officers had him under surveillance immediately imme-diately after his arrival Monday. A search of his effects, it is understood, disclosed nothing that might incriminate incrimi-nate him or cause him to be suspected of any part In the alleged Indian conspiracy. con-spiracy.
