Show SLACKERS HAVE GIVEN WRONG MIES TO DRAFT BOARDS If tho suspicions of Detective A. B. Jensen, Police Chief Brownings' specialist spec-ialist on slackers, Is correct, Albert Bos, recently arrested, slipped a new one over on one of tho selective draft boards at Chicago. Bos, who was arrested hero Dec. 11 as a slacker suspect, stated he had registered at Precinct 7, Ward 5, Chicago. Chi-cago. Inquiry was telegraphed to cer-ify cer-ify his statement The Chicago board reported that Bos was not wanted. Another An-other telegram arrived today stating "Vohs" had been registered from the address given by "Bos" but that he was proprietor of tho rooming house and 55 years old. Bos Avas released following the receipt of the first telegram. tele-gram. Ho had registered in the name of his landlord and disappeared. Edward Howard, now in the city jail and arrested by Detective Jensen, Jan. 15, is up against the samo situation, only ho is in custody, while Bos is not. According to information from Chicago, Chi-cago, Howard is believed to have registered reg-istered in the name of Italian, as Howard's How-ard's registration number is listed under an Italian name and no Italian resides at tho address given. 00 |
