Show 1 ROBBED 01 VHDHCr Bl SKI Bill Bill Frank Randmeister, residing in West Ogdcn and employed at the Wasatch Wa-satch Canning company, was hed up and robbed at the east approach of the viaduct, shortly before midnight Saturday. Satur-day. Ho was relieved of $14.85. The highwayman went about the robbery in an unusual manner. He met his victim at the top of the bridge and without displaying a gun ordered him to hold up his hands. Being unable to tell whether the robber was bluffing bluff-ing or actually had a gun concealed In tho hand which he held partly hidden hid-den beneath his coat. Randmeister obeyed. When the robbery was completed Randmeister was made to march in front of the robber to the west end of the viaduct where lie was instructed to keep going forward and not look bnck. Randmeister continued to tho canning factory and telephoned the police. SergL O. H. Mohlman and Detective De-tective A. B. Jensen took the description descrip-tion of the robber, and notified Salt Lake City and other nearby departments depart-ments and then went in search of tho robber. Randmeister described tho robber as being fully 6 feet in height and wearing a gray cap and gray overcoat. Although he was unmasked, the collar of his coat was turned up and his cap pulled down, shading his face beyond recognition. . r |
