Show IX SB SENTENCED IV DISTRICT JUICE I E, Pin Max Shear of Los Angeles, the much talked of prisoner charged with forging forg-ing and cashing a check for S32.50, and who pleaded guilty, with District Attorney S. P. Dobbs' consent, to obtaining ob-taining money by false pretenses, this afternoon was sentenced by District Judge Arthur E. Pratt to pay a fine of $200 and stay five months in tho county jail. County Attorney Cbarles L. Farr today to-day prepared a new complaint against Shear, charging forgery, and supplied Sheriff Herbert C. Peterson with a warrant to be served on tho prisoner if he is released from custody by court order on payment of tho fine. Not Tried for Forgery. nr |
