Show ilLBOS ClIIOT BE IKSIBT Hn RESnENT Despite the new law compelling all railroads to try their lavsuits in tho county whore the complaint is filed, tho Southern Pacific attorneys late yesterday asked District Judgo Alfred W. Agee to allow the transfer to Salt Lake, as was done in all such casos previously, of the suit of James Adams, Ad-ams, Jr against the railroad. Judge Ageo denied the application, of course. The court also remarked that this company could not bo a non-resident of this state for the purpose of removing re-moving its cases to the federal courts and a resident of Salt Lake county for the purpose of removing its cases from this county to Salt Lake county. |
