Show REV. COE ME GOES TO 6 II LIKE CHURCH The Rev. Coe Hayne, who has bBen serving the local Baptist church as acting pastor during the last three months, has been named to succeed the Rev. Arthur V. Willey as pastor of the Burlington Baptist church of Salt Lake. Mr. Hayne received his degree of bachelor of arts at the University of Chicago, where he did post-graduate work in theology. During the last year of his residence resi-dence at Chicago, Mr. Hayne was the leader of the Evangelistic band of the university and served as president of the Divinity Council. His first call after completing the divinity courso was to the First Baptist church at Eaton Rapids, Mich., where he remained re-mained for three years. From Eeaton Rapids he removed to Elgin, 111., where, during the last seven years, he was connected with the David C. Cook publications as contributing editor. During the summer of 1915, Mr. Hayne was permanent supply for the First Baptist church of Rockford, 111. Accompanying him to his new pastorate pas-torate are his wife and children, Eldon and Eleanor, aged 6 and A years, respectively. Mr. Hayne says he leaves Ogdon with an exalted opinion of the possibilities possi-bilities of the local Baptist cause. William Crawford, of Rocky Ford, Colo., will come to Ogdon next week to assume his duties as the newly elected pastor pas-tor of the First Baptist church. |
