Show BRAZIL TO ENTER ON SIDEOFALLIES 1' People Greatly Disturbed Over I Torpedoing of the Par- Iana by Germans. RIO JANEIRO, April S. The president presi-dent of the republic, Dr. "Wenceslau Braz, and Dr. Lauro Muller, the foreign for-eign minister, have hurriedly returned from Para to Rio Janeiro. A council of ministers as held today, at which the situation with respect to the war was discussed. The following official note was given out: "At the meeting of the cabinet, the president, after having explained the situation created by the torpedoing of the steamship Parana and presented facts relative to this act which have come to the knowledge of the government, govern-ment, declared himself determined to act with the spirit demanded by the national dignity. He added that he awaited only the result of the official inquiry establishing the facts and the circumstances under which the steamer steam-er was sunk. "The government has Instructed the Brazilian minister to France to proceed pro-ceed urgently with the inquiry, which will be carried on by our consulate at Cherbourg." Dispatches received from all parts of Brazil describe the agitation caused J1 by the torpedoing of the Paran. Every, here press opinion demands immediate and energetic action on the part ot Brazil.
