Show MODERN WOMB I JOIN llll 1 , GUARDS I Owing to the Patriotic parade Wed' H nesday evening, Utah Camp No. 9990, H Modern Woodmen of America, did not- H hold their regular meeting, but were jH represented in tho parade by about , H one hundred of their membership. H Upon a call Issued by Consul Williams, : H the boys met at the hall and marched H to Twenty-sixth street and Washing- H ton, where they joined the rest of the H throng. They were led by State Phy- -Jm sician E. P. Mills, Judge A. W. Agee, jH and District Deputy S. T. Query. Judge -M A. W. Agee being the oldest Wood- 'H man in line, was given the honor ot , being the standard bearer. After M meeting, the boys marched to the hall. :H where time" was taken long enough to M adopt a half dozen candidates who M were walling. M Part of the opening exercises of the camp is a salute to the American H flag, and we have omitted our open- iH ing and closing oUes and substituted H national hymns in preference. -ijl The following members of this camp H have joined the National Guards and, RH in case they are called upon to leave, the camp will pay their dues and as- H sessments. They consist of E. M. IH Root, Edwin Nelson, Victor Nelson, H R. T. Pendroy, E. M. Roshon, W. K. IH Milligan, J. R. Sims and Mr. Iverson. jH More will, no doubt, join later and they iH will receive the same consideration. H |
