This plan will make tho formal opening of tho houso an affair of twd weeks' duration and will be the biggest and most interesting entertainment enter-tainment of its kind ever staged in tho slate. Tho open houso dates havo thus far been arranged to meet the convenience conven-ience of the local people as follows: Wednesday, April 25, Martha society, soci-ety, Maids and Matrons and Child Culture Cul-ture club. Thursday, April 26, Benevolent Protective Pro-tective Order of Elks. Friday, April 27, Masonic lodges and Order of the Eastern Star. Saturday, April 28, city and county officials and employes, Southorn Pacific Pa-cific company, superintendent and office of-fice employes. Monday, April 30, Modern Woodmen Wood-men of America, Royal Neighbors, Yeomen and Moose. ' Tuesday, May 1, Woodmen of the World, Women of Woodcraft. Wednesday, May 2, Knights of Pythias, Pyth-ias, Pythian Sisters, Odd Fellows and Rebekahs. Thursday, May 3. Owls. Friday, May 4, Knights of Columbus, United Commercial Travelers. Saturday. May 5, Trades and Labor oreanizations. Monday, May 7, Weber club. Thursday, May 10, grand cabaret and big jollification for the general public. On the dales from May 7 to May 10 societies which have been overlooked in this list will have the freedom of tho lodge home. It is anticipated that all of the societies so-cieties and clubs named will accept the Invitations, which are now being officially extended by a special committee com-mittee to visit the new clubhouse and become acquainted with its attractions. attrac-tions. On the last three days of the two-week period, societies not mentioned men-tioned in tho above list will have the freedom of the lodge home. Tho clubhouse will be dedicated, as has been previously announced, on April Ap-ril 24, with elaborate ceremonies. To this event Governor Simon Bamberger and his staff, Mayor Abbot R. Hey-wood, Hey-wood, the city and county commissioners commission-ers and other prominent Utah citizens and representatives of Eagles' lodges located in other Utah cities, Wyoming, Nevada Idaho have been invited. The dedicatory address will be delivored by Grand Worthy President Rex B. Goodsell of San Bernardino, Cal.,; an address will be made by William A. Peters of Jerome, Ida., intermountain district president. On the day of the dedication the visitors will be met at the union and interurban depots and taken first on an automobile tour of the city and through Ogden canyon, stopping at the Hermitage for luncheon at noon. At 5 p. m. they will be dined at the Weber club The lodge home will be opened at G:45 o'clock with a big special initiation ini-tiation of nearly one hundred candidates, can-didates, with one of the past worthy presidents in charge, and after the initiation ceremonies the home will be thrown open for the dedication exer cises. When these are concluded the remainder of the evening will be passed pass-ed In social recreation. On each day of the open house period per-iod the home will be open from 3 p. m, until midnight, the entertainment to include a musical and speaking program pro-gram during the fore part of the evening even-ing and dancing from 10 o'clock until midnight. |
