Show I Society 1 i RETURNS HOME. Mrs. S. L. Brick has returned home after a pleasant visit In Salt Lake City as the guest of Mrs. C. C. Clayton in the Buckingham apartments. AT DAY NURSERY. Mayor Heywood, and the city and county commissioners were guests at the Martha society day nursery yesterday yes-terday and were shown the splendid work of the society by the president, Mrs. John S. Lewis, and the matron at the nursery. ON NORTHERN TRIP Webster Lindsay, Allen Jonos, "Bo" Reed and U. N. Castle, Utah boys on the Pacific coast, left last Tuesday morning on a cruise to Alaska. They will return about September 1. LEAVE FOR SACRAMENTO. Mr. and Mrs. II. Mortenson departed depart-ed today over the Western Pacific railroad, for Sacramento, Cal. VISITORS IN OGDEN TODAY. President John L. Herrlck of tho Western States Mission of the Mormon Mor-mon church and Mrs. Herrlck, the well-known keramic and playwright, were in Ogden today. They are on route to the mission headquarters at Denver, after having attended the general conference of the church In Salt Lake City, and visited their son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. W. D. Preston of RIgby, Idaho. They passed tho day In Ogden visiting vis-iting relatives and friends, among the latter being Lester Park, general manager of the Ogden Pictures corporation, cor-poration, with whom they were woll acquainted In Denver. As both are keen students of things theatrical, they were much interested in the plant of tho local film producing company, which, as far as It is now completed, was shown to them by Mr. Park. SERENADED The sisters and students of Sacred Heart academy were delighted last evening with several band selections. They were serenaded by tho Weber academy band under the direction of Prof. Nichols. |
