For strawberry ice cream, boil together to-gether two cupfuls of sugnr and four of water for half an hour. Thon add two quarts of strawberries and cook for a quarter of au hour longer. Freeze, and when tho dasher is removed, re-moved, fold in a pint of whipped cream. Strawberry Pudding. Strawberry pudding is a more elaborate elab-orate strawberry frozen dessert, but is really worth the trouble. To make it, heat a pint of milk, add an ounce and a half-threo table-spoonfuls table-spoonfuls of sugar, a piece of stick cinnamon and a few Bhreds of lemon peel, and then tho beaten yolks of four eggs. Cook until smooth and thick, and strain Into a cold dish Cool and add a quart of strawberries, mixed with half a cupful of sugar, and rubbed rub-bed through a sieve. Freeze in a ring mold and turn out on h. dish and fill the center with fresh, slightly sweetened sweet-ened strawberries. Or else freezo and serve in dessert glasses, with a few ripe, large strawberries in each glass. Pineapple Pudding. Boil together two cupfuls of water and two of sugar until thick, and then pour on two ounces of gelatine softened soften-ed in cold water. Strain and cool, and add the juice of a ripe pineapple, half a cupful of maraschino cherries, and shredded, blanched almonds, and a pinch of salt. Pack in a mold in an ice and salt for two hours |
