Show Summary of the Local Market. April 22, 1916. Alta Con., Silver Shield, Tintio Standard, and Yankee were the features of tho trading this morning among the mining share issues, is-sues, all of which were .strong at the highest prices of the year. Tho market mar-ket generally was active with some stocks off in price but the majority either held firm or showed strong advances ad-vances which may he pointed out as one of the peculiar instances of the local market, because the soiling pressure pres-sure in New York this morning was so great that it was almost panicy on the New York Exchange. The sugar stocks are extremely weak with Utah Idaho freely offered at $17 50. The other industrials are about as they have been all week. Quotations furnished over the private pri-vate wire of J. A.
