The following 1r the eulogy on the Bob White, by William T Hornaday, once director of the Now York zoological zoologi-cal park: To my friend the epicure: The next time you regale a good appc tite with bluepolnt8, terrapin stew, filet of sole and saddle u mutton, touched up here and there with tho high lights of rare old sherry, rich claret and dry monopole, pause as tho dead quail Is laid before you on a funeral pyre of toast and consider this: "Here He the charred remains of tbe farmer's ally and friend, poor Boll White In life ho devoured L4S different kinds of bad insects and tbe seeds of 139 noxious weeds. For the smaller pests of the farm he was the most marvelous engino of destruction that God ever put together of flesh and blood. He was good, beautiful and true; and his small life was blameless. And here ho lie dead, snatched away from his field of labor and destroyed, in order that I may be tempted to dine three minutes longer ufter I have already eaten to satiety."
