Show COLONY IN MEXICO SENDS MESSAGE Americans and Other Foreigners Foreign-ers Say Situation Is "More Chaotic and Helpless Than Ever." El Paso. Texas, April 3 A statement state-ment from the American colony ai Mexico City in which it was declared that the situation was "more chaotic and helpless than ever," was brought to the border today by Arthur Ballard Johnson, a delegate representing Jointly Joint-ly the 2000 Americans and the international inter-national committee of the capital district, dis-trict, the latter composed of seventeen nationalities aggregating more than 10,000 persons Mr Johnson is on his way east to take up tbe matter with public men The resolutions were drawn March 10 at a meeting attended by about 200 members of the American colony, In answer to a communication from the ashington government again suggesting sug-gesting that the Americans leave the republic. However, they most respectfully re-spectfully submit that it is their fixed opinion deducted from the past four years' experience, that the time has come to accept the Mexican situation for what it Is and not for what It might be hoped that It may become, or what interested leaders or warring factions mav trv to represent it to be." |
