Show w CHICAGO GRAIL Chicago, April 3 Wheat tended to sag in value today, owing to reports that Russian and Austria were ihow-i ihow-i ing signs of willingness to negotiate peace. Favorable weather for the domestic do-mestic winter crop counted alao against the bulls and so too did predictions pre-dictions of heavier world shipments. The market seemed to have but little lit-tle power to rally. After opening 5-8 to lc lower quotations seemed in clined to keep within the initial range. Opening prices of corn, which varied from l-43-8 to l-26-lo lower, were followed by a slight additional setback before any recovery began. Later, however, wheat offerings gave out and the market took an upward up-ward sing on account of covering by shorts. The close was unsettled at 1-8 to 1 l-2c net advance. Losses In corn were all overcome afterward when wheat showed a bulge. The close was steady at ft shade off to a shade up, compared with Thursday night. Chicago, April 3.
